Justin Cole (cousin of Aaron Auxier aka Ritz) guest stars on Sin City 90210 as he shares interesting information about the tragic fire at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in 1980. This video was shot as a school project for Justin’s college fire class in Los Angeles, California.
The fire at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino stands as the worst disaster in Nevada’s history and plays quite an important role on the current Las Vegas Strip high-rise market (including condo, condotel, timeshare, hotel, and casino). This is because the disaster was so devastating, Nevada soon became home to some of the world’s strictest fire codes (which has impacted construction costs ever since).
In another words, locals, as well as tourists, should be grateful for today’s modern properties such as Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, Veer Towers, Caesar’s Palace, Paris, New York New York, Mandarin Oriental, Treasure Island, Luxor, Wynn, Encore, and many more.
